Red Pumps of the Week #5

Friday, September 4, 2009 ·

For the last chapter of the 'CrazySexyCool' series, I'm focusing on the Cool factor. Usually, I feature two shoes. However, this week's feature is one shoe that serves a dual purpose.

The (CONVERSE)Red Chuck Taylor Hi is an extremely cool sneaker that also allows the purchaser to contribute the Global Fund to Fight AIDS. In addition to a portion of the wholesale price being donated to the fund, according to Joinred.com, the shoe uses canvas sourced in Africa and features African mudcloth design.

I don't think there's any other shoe that could display your support for the Red Pump Project's cause better than this!

So, visit Converse.com to pick up a pair for a mere $50. And remember, there's no better fashionista than a philanthropic one. Go RED!

Luvvie's Edit: I'm a lover of Chuck Taylor sneaks. But I'm an even bigger fan of the concept behind Product(RED). I've been a supporter ever since they were founded in 2006. I own 2 pairs of the Converse (RED). Super chic, comfortable and cheap. WIN-WIN!

Excuse the dust. We will be relaunching a brand new website very soon. Stay tuned...
